White Echinacea dining room . Nikon D750 50mm lens. I love photoing these flowers they have such an interesting shape and I love that thistle center. I also love shooting for the blur. I am seeing it is not always desirable - especially if you want to get your photos published but I just LOVE the moodiness of this kind of shot.

White Echinacea, old books and twine. Nikon D750 50mm lens.

Loving the echinacea, especially the white such a great flower to photograph. I am in a interesting place in my photography right now. I am not sure of my direction and am taking a new course about branding or your signature look. I know I don't have one yet I don't know if I need/want one. I do know how I want my photos to look and also pretty much what I want to photo for now. I do understand the value of planning but I don't do too much of that - I just grab a few props and some flowers and shoot. Is this a good way to work - I don't know probably not for a professional. Right now I am shooting for me and for fun - this is not to say I am not serious about my photography but I think for the most part it works for me. I am also learning to get the shoot - not take 15-20 pic of the same thing and then keep all the pictures. I am taking way fewer pics and only keeping the best shots.

I am still fairly new to this - 2 years since I got my Nikon so I am learning as I go. A little uninspired lately but there sure are some beautiful summer flowers just waiting to be a model.
