Photos from Bay Head NJ for my month of multiples course. This was evening at the beach and I took more pics on the bay side at sunset. Loving my course and learning so much. Very Zen-like for me. I am so happy with my new camera.

Working on my month of multiples. The two above are Geranium from my front porch.
More multiples weeds from the catch basin. My problem now is I have taken so many photos I am getting overwhelmed. I am loving the course but I need to slow down with the photos go with quality over quantity maybe.

I am taking Kim Klassen's wonderful photography course "A Month Of Multiples" and it is really forcing me out of my comfort zone. I am relatively new to taking serious photos - started with still life in January and then 2 months ago I bought my Nikon D750. I only shot still life indoors so outside light and everything that goes with it is all new to me. I am learning a lot but it is at times overwhelming. Besides deciding on what I want to photo I need to know how. I am beginning to learn about my camera but it is a struggle. I shot my still life in "A" but I am really giving "M" manual a try - but to be honest I do go back to "A" aperture priority a lot.
What we are striving for in the class is multiple shots of a single spot. The theme of the first module is "The world around you". Lots of pics from different angles, distances, with different look -like blur or no blur. The four photos above I shot in the drainage area of our community. I had to climb over a fence and down into the drainage area. I saw the purple weeds on my AM walk and thought it would make for some nice photos.
The first two pics are an overview of the space and second two a more close up of the purple flowers. I tried to get closer with each shot. I took a lot of photos and have a lot more to process in LR.
I am enjoying the class and I hope to get a lot out of it - I have already - and I hope to improve my knowledge of my camera and take better pics.

So I am taking Kin Klassen's new photography course A Month of Multiplies. I just started but think it is going to be a game changer for me - who only takes indoor still life photos. I just started using my new camera outside this week and already I am learning so much. I am confused about some things but I think with time and some work it will come together. The above two photos were taken near the pond on hole number 9 on our golf course. I went over about 7PM when the light was amazing and took about 120 photos. I have to say a lot of them are very good. The idea of the course is to go to a place to shoot and take multiple photos - landscape, vertical, mid range close up and all in between. Slow down and get the feel of the place and tell a story with the pics. I am loving the course so far and it has really got me thinking in a more creative way. So far so good. Above photos Nikon D750 50mm lens.
By the pond. I took a lot of photos of these flowers. I need to go through them and see what I got for my multiples. Nikon D750 50mm lens.

Pink Hydrangea - Nikon D750 50mm f1/8. Love the color of these hydrangea - this little bush was $3.95 last year and so small. It really blossomed this year and is growing like crazy. I have high hope for it in the future.
